The name, taken from the Japanese word for pleats, reflects that origin. But the vision quickly evolved – beyond admiration, toward innovation.
In 2014, she opened her own factory and began implementing the Japanese One Piece of Cloth philosophy — a concept rooted in the intimate connection between the human body and the fabric that embraces it.
FK. Young sought out textile masters in Seoul who not only worked with cutting-edge fabric technologies but also revived traditional techniques, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern design.
